These can also be classified as shake “add-ins” or “powders,” and essentially are my fuel for making it through sleepless days and feeling extra wonderful on restful days.  I let go of my need to ‘run on coffee’ to make it through a hectic 12 hour shift at the hospital while I was pregnant.  After the baby was born I decided to incorporate one cup of coffee a day if really needed, however I started to realize that I function a little better without the caffeine jitters.  With the added energy obtained from my nutrient dense shakes based on the different powders I incorporate I am able to function with or without the coffee.  Below is a list of the “energizers” that are stocked in my pantry.  I encourage you to begin researching ingredients – and please leave a comment to share any new treats you have found before me!
